Registration is now open for Orthomed’s newest live online orthopedic workshops on December 6th and 7th, 2021.
These courses are three to four-hour live interactive sessions. Each session is a combination of a presentation with surgical video, animation, and demonstration and an interactive practical where participants perform procedures on sawbone models, tutored by one of our specialist instructors. Sawbone models, implants, and required instrumentation will be supplied prior to the event. Courses will be taught by Dr. Scott Rutherford BVMS, Cert SAS, Dip ECVS, MRCVS, RCVS & EU Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.
This course is intended for practicing veterinarians looking to gain or refine knowledge in common orthopedic procedures. And will familiarize participants with relevant pathology and pathophysiology and teach them procedural indications, post-operative care, as well as basic hands-on skills.

Stifle disease – Cranial cruciate ligament disease featuring MMP. Includes interactive sawbone practical. This session will last 4 hours.
Monday December 6th, 14:00 UK start time.
Stifle disease – Patellar luxation featuring RidgeStop.
Includes interactive sawbone practical. This session will last 4 hours.
Tuesday December 7th, 9:00 UK start time.
Plate osteosynthesis featuring String of Pearls (SOP).
Includes interactive sawbone practical. This session will last 4 hours.
Course fee: $300 per session.
