Vascular & Soft Tissue Lab: Shunts/Chemo Embolization/Stapler/Curato

On August 11-12, 2023, Infiniti will be sponsoring a workshop at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. The workshop aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience that combines both theoretical instruction and practical hands-on training in the field of vascular and soft tissue interventions.

The workshop will be led by Dr. William Culp VMD DACVS(SA), along with other esteemed instructors from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Culp is a renowned expert in the field of veterinary surgery.

The curriculum for the first day will include a lecture followed by a wet lab session, focusing on Advanced Vascular IR Techniques. The topics covered during this day will include selective arterial access, intra-arterial embolization, and coil embolization of IHPSS (intrahepatic portosystemic shunt).

On the second day, the workshop will consist of a combination of lectures and practical sessions in a dry lab setting. The focus of this day will be on Soft Tissue procedures and techniques. The session will be divided into two parts.

Part one will cover the use of Surgical Staplers in the management of lung, liver, gastrointestinal tumors, and other pathologic conditions. Participants will learn about the proper use of surgical staplers and their applications in various surgical procedures.

Part two will provide a thorough review of the equipment required for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). The discussion will revolve around the benefits of NPWT and its application in the treatment of complicated wounds, septic body cavities, and reconstructive procedures.
