In this two-day course, participants will get familiarized with relevant equipment and learn patient work-up, procedural indications, equipment checklists, and post-operative treatment protocols as well as receive hands-on training for cardiorespiratory interventions.

This course is intended for veterinarians looking to gain practical experience performing some of the more common minimally invasive cardiorespiratory interventions.

Day one will focus on common minimally invasive respiratory interventions and include training on tracheal stenting for tracheal collapse and bronchial stenting for bronchial collapse & extrinsic compression.

Day two will focus on common congenital heart diseases for more in-depth theory and hands-on experience in pulmonic stenosis with balloon dilatation & trans-pulmonic stent angioplasty techniques and patent ductus arteriosus with a focus on both ACDO and transvenous approaches & extrinsic compression.

Day two will focus on Advanced Vascular IR Techniques and include training on selective arterial access, intra-arterial embolization, and coil embolization of IHPSS.
