This two-day course will focus on laboratory-based instruction with case presentations in image-guided cardiac interventions.

Focuses:
•PV stenting
•PS balloon dilatation
•Trans venous
•Trans arterial PDA closure

There will be a lecture until mid-morning followed by a day in the OR with practice using and deploying devices in both dry lab and wet lab settings.

Participants will get familiar with relevant equipment and techniques used during patient workups, procedural indications, and post-operative care, as well as basic hands-on skills.

This course is intended for practicing veterinarians looking to gain knowledge in interventional cardiology procedures.

Training includes patient work-up, procedural indications, equipment checklists, and post-operative treatment protocols.

The course will be taught by Dr. Chris Linney, BVSc MSc CertAVP(VC) DipECVIM CA (Cardiology) MRCVS, Head Of Cardiology at Paragon Veterinary Referrals.
