ALICAM is featured in Professor Renaud Leguillette’s article “A Wireless Endoscopy Capsule Suitable For Imaging Of The Equine Stomach And Small Intestine” in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine. The article stated that detailed images of the gastrointestinal mucosa could be obtained including images of the pylorus, major duodenal papilla, individual villi, and ileocecal junction. The article concluded that ALICAM was safe, practical, and noninvasive in horses.
