The associated straining that accompanies obstruction can painful and upsetting to watch. Details

Infiniti’s Vet Stent-Urethra™ is simple to use and offers rapid relief to urinary obstruction. The stent is laser cut from nitinol tubing and mounted on a delivery system that is optimized for its intended use. Veterinarians are encouraged to take advantage of our telemedicine support services to optimize case planning and management.

Options

The Vet-Stent Urethra™ is available in sizes appropriate for use in both dogs and cats. This includes diameters from 5 mm through 14 mm and lengths from 20 mm through 80 mm. If you need help selecting a size, or have a question, click here to start a consultation.

Accessories

The following products are useful in either placing a urethral stent or performing the sizing procedure used for stent selection.

This 5Fr catheter has a straight tip with metallic markers spaced 1cm apart. The catheter is useful in calibrating the x-ray film.

This hydrophilic guide wire is placed across the obstruction and used to help guide the stent delivery system to the implant site.

An introducer with side arm allows the operator to inject contrast and define the anatomy of the urethra and the associated obstructing lesion. This is helpful in optimizing the implantation of the stent.
