Embolization coil

Historically, intrahepatic portosystemic shunt treatment was undertaken only by the most skilled surgeons. The complex procedure was risky and severe complications were not uncommon. Leveraging our expertise in anatomy, physiology, and biomedical engineering, Infiniti created a better approach. Infiniti’s development of a simple, minimally invasive technique for the treatment of intrahepatic portosystemic shunts is one of its defining achievements.

Details

Embo Coils™ are stainless steel embolization coils intended to be used in conjunction with the Vet Stent-Cava™ and other Infiniti Medical products in the minimally invasive treatment of portosystemic shunts. The coils feature synthetic fibers to enhance thrombogenicity and are available in a variety of sizes. The coils are designed to be compatible with Infiniti Medical catheters, guide wires and the Vet Stent-Cava™.

Sizes

Embolization coil are available in 3mm, 5mm, and 8mm diameters. Each coil is 5cm in length.

Accessories

The use of embolization coils during the percutaneous attentuation of intrahepatic portosystemic shunts requires a variety of devices.

This is placed in the caudal vena cava and positioned across the entrance of the shunt vessel. It acts to secure the coils in place at the mouth of the shunt.

Vascular introducers are placed in access vessels to allow atraumatic and easy passage of catheters and other devices.

Embo coils are compatible with Infiniti 4 Fr Cobra and Berenstein catheters which are used to delivery the coil to the implant site.

Infinti offers a specially designed guide wire to push coils through angiographic catheters and deliver coils into the desired location.

This pack contains all the equipment needed for an endovascular procedure including patient drapes, sterile gowns, syringes, and many other helpful accessories.
