Two of Infiniti Medical’s newest devices were featured in presentations at this year’s ACVS Surgery Summit.
Long-term clinical results evaluating the Duality Vet Stent® were presented by Dr. Sarit Dhupa. The study showed efficacy in improving signs of tracheal collapse with a mean follow up of 14.5 months. The stents were durable with no fractures occurring. Veterinarian and pet owner satisfaction with patient outcomes and stent placement were excellent.
The Mitrex® device, which is used in a novel surgical approach to treating mitral valve disease, was unveiled by Dr. Jeffrey Solomon. Preclinical testing showed that the device was safe, biocompatible and easy to place. The device, which can be placed without the need for cardiopulmonary bypass or anticoagulation, represents a major step forward in the development of a therapy for this common and often fatal disease.
